When I first heard “Video Games,” I thought this Lana Del Rey girl has a great sound but does she have staying power? After her performance on SNL I thought the hype was too good to be true. Now, I am a huge fan of hers! Everything she has done since SNL has made me like her more and more.  She recently released a video for “Ride” and it is an epic 10 minutes of Americana, gorgeous shots of Ms. Del Rey, and a girl with multiple lovers who wants to belong to nobody but belong to everybody.

“September” by Earth, Wind & Fire

THIS SONG! It gets me excited and pumped up every single time I hear it. And today actually is the 21st of September, so I’m doubly excited. I had to give a presentation in one of my classes on my favorite song and I chose this one. The beginning of the song just builds and builds and then Maurice White’s voice comes in so flawlessly. This video is over 20 years old, but the song was made popular over a decade before! I can just imagine my parents dancing the night away when they were younger to this song, and I hope that some day I will be able to dance with my husband every September 21st to it. This song will forever endure.

Ba-Di-Yah I will always remember the 21st night of September.
